HERNDON, VA – June 6, 2022

Unissant, a partner to the Military Health Systems (MHS)/Defense Health Agency (DHA) for over 10 years is proud to announce that the DHA Pharmacy Operations Support Contract (POSC) program has been awarded the 2022 FedHealthIT Innovation Award.

The FedHealthIT Innovation Awards, now in their 8^th year, recognize and honor the Federal Health technology and consulting community by celebrating the programs nominated and selected by their peers for driving innovation and results across the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Military Health System, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

The POSC program provides operational support throughout the MHS to everyone involved in the process of dispensing outpatient prescriptions including direct care and purchased care pharmacies, other government entities, the pharmaceutical industry, and beneficiaries. The POSC is an integral component of the Pharmacy Operations Division (POD), providing data analytics, and pharmacy benefit information while combating fraud, waste and abuse of prescription medication. The program also leverages advanced analytics to confront the opioid epidemic among MHS beneficiaries.
