Reston, Virginia, August 1, 2012 – Following a competitive bid process, Unissant has been selected by a national bank to assess their Single Family lending business processes and systems and provide a recommended course of action for modernization.  In addition, Unissant was also awarded a contract to implement a data warehouse and reporting application in support of the bank’s Treasury business operations.

Working directly with the bank’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) and operations management team, Unissant will identify potential efficiencies, risks, and gaps and present a series of recommended tactical and strategic actions aimed at transforming their current operations.  Our project team will evaluate underwriting, origination, and closing processes along with secondary marketing, servicing, and default management. Unissant will evaluate the current state of the bank’s business processes and mix of off-the-shelf, service provider hosted, and home-grown systems.  Included in the business process reengineering (BPR) recommendations will be a sequential, dependency-based road-map for implementation.

Concurrent with the above BPR effort, Unissant continues to work directly with the bank’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) and technology management team to implement their strategic enterprise data management program.  The latest project involves the architecture, design, and implementation of a modernized data warehouse that will provide operational and reference information to the bank’s Treasury business unit for reporting and analysis purposes.  As part of the project’s methodology the team is compiling a business data dictionary and is leveraging recently established data governance processes.

Unissant Chief Information Officer, Eric Hartung, comments, “These projects reflect the fact that Unissant is focused not only on modernizing our customers’ technology blueprint, but also on transforming their business to increase efficiency, allow rapid adaptability, and to reduce risk.”
