Reston, Virginia, December 20, 2012 – Following a competitive bid process under the GSA 8a STARS II program, Unissant has been selected by the Defense Human Resources Activity (DHRA) to help operate, maintain and enhance the Fourth Estate Manpower Tracking System (FMTS).

The FMTS, formerly known as the OSD Manpower System (OMS), is based on Joint Staff J-1’s electronic Joint Manpower & Personnel System (eJMAPS) and will be the manpower system of record for OSD, the non-intelligence Defense Agencies and Department of Defense (DoD) Field Activities, and the Joint Community.

FMTS eliminates labor intensive position management and reporting process and establishes an authoritative data source for DoD and Congressional reporting and for data sharing with DoD business and warfighting systems.

Joining Unissant on this initiative is SRA International Inc. and Booz Allen Hamilton who bring subject matter expertise of the eJMAPS application and processes.

According to Manish Malhotra, President and CEO of Unissant, “OSD has great expectations from Unissant to support and enhance the PeopleSoft HR environment. We have an excellent project team in place with a strong “can do” commitment to the project’s success.   We look forward to successfully helping OSD achieve its mission and enhance the system to make it more efficient and reliable.”
